Board of Directors & Management

Jeanne Metzger
Jeanne Metzger has more than 25 years of experience leading marketing, communications, and fundraising efforts for nonprofit organizations. She has expertise in building strong brands, strengthening value propositions, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and growing and diversifying revenue streams. Jeanne currently serves as the Vice President of Membership, Marketing, and Communications at the Association of corporate Citizenship Professionals. Prior to ACCP, Jeanne served as Chief Development and Marketing Officer at Exponent Philanthropy and Chief Marketing Officer at the National Venture Capital Association. Mission comes first for Jeanne in all aspects of her life. She intentionally selects professional and volunteer roles that offer the opportunity to leverage her skills and knowledge in ways that better society.
Avinash Vasishtha
Avinash Vashistha is a globally renowned executive with over 40 years of experience in driving innovation in the areas of technology, sustainability, and AI. He currently serves as a venture capitalist at Arise Ventures, where he helps empower disruptive startups, especially those founded by women entrepreneurs. Previously, he was the Chairman & CEO of Accenture in India, managing approximately 180,000 employees and helping to shape global business services. He also founded neoIT and Tholons, both notable business strategy firms, and co-authored bestsellers like “Innovation at Scale” and “The Offshore Nation.” Avinash also has mentored numerous non-profit organizations on strategic growth initiatives and effective management, most recently by serving on the Board of Magic Bus, USA, an award-winning charity supporting disadvantaged children globally. He grew up enjoying the vast forest reserves around his native state of Karnataka, India, which catalyzed his interest in protecting natural resources, now manifested in his participation with Pura Terra.
Shék Jain
Shék Jain founded Pura Terra after serving for sixteen years as the Vice Chairman & Chief Operating Officer of the BioUrja Group, a global renewable fuel supply and manufacturing company with annual revenues averaging over USD$3 billion. Prior to that, he was the CEO of WTP Capital, an international private equity firm supported by sovereign wealth; and an attorney with Jones Day, Holland & Knight, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Along the way, Shék always has been engaged in non-profit organizations, whether by protecting elephants from illegal ivory trade, providing support for victims of domestic abuse, or organizing disaster relief funds for those impacted by major natural disasters. He has been commended for his philanthropic efforts by the Virginia state legislature and his charitable efforts have been covered by the Washington Post and other publications. His experience with the US EPA, love of the outdoors, observations as an avid scuba diver, and exposure to indigenous forest-dwelling peoples through his travels, led him to launch Pura Terra to help protect Earth’s most precious resources.
